Unique hisotrical structure 800 years old. Served as prison for some of the Red Brigade people recently but now restored partly and will be restored continuously.
The entrance is paid and closes on Wednesdays.It is a beautiful medieval castle located next to the sea (as well as its basement is lamed by the Adriatic waves) and very close to the square of the cathedral ...
After the cathedral we went to the nearby castle, with a cumulative ticket for Castel del Monte. Well kept, it is worth it. Direct location on the sea.

The original 13th century castle with two towers looking towards the sea. it forms a beautiful sea facade next to the emblematic cathedral.
