The Museum of Natural History of Tours is a French natural history museum located in the city of Tours in the department of Indres-et-Loire in the central Loire Valley region. After the first Tours museum disappeared during a bombing in 1940, the new museum opened in 1989 at 3 President Street, Mayville. It consists of a space reserved for temporary exhibitions, a vivarium, a room displaying the natural history collection and a library.

A compact good value rainy day activity
Well organised exhibits (especially the ants exhibit) and incredibly engaging for young children. Perfect for a rainy day activity.
Small but rather interesting.
In the lower plant we saw an exhibition on furskins, in the 1ª plant live animals (mostly reptiles and amphibians) and in the 2ª plant typical fossil or dried animals in the area.

It was a rain day so we decided to visit the Museum of Natural History. It is not very big but if there are 3 floors with different themes. The low floor is hosted (at least in July 201...
