Founded in 1700 as Su 﨑 Benzaiten, which enshrines Benzaiten (made by Kobo Daishi), the principal image of Katsura Shoin, the mother of the fifth Shogun Tsunayoshi. It was renamed the current company name due to the separation of Shinto and Buddhism in the Meiji era. The deity is Ichikishima Himei. The torii was built in 1998. The shrine was built in 1968 and is made of reinforced concrete. The guardian dog of the cherry blossoms is in a low head and intimidating posture. Sakura and vermilion shrine
I passed by when I was running in search of cherry blossoms. The collaboration between the vermilion-painted shrine and the cherry blossoms is very nice. There were no tourists, so I was able to enjoy the flowers slowly.

The cherry blossom season is recommended
It is a shrine with a calm atmosphere. You can feel like walking around Edo, such as a shrine related to Tsunayoshi Tokugawa's real mother, Katsura Shoin, and a stone monument (Namimoku monument) for tsunami warnings. The number of cherry blossoms is not large, but it matches the shrine and is wonderful, so please take a walk course during the cherry blossom season.
