Takayama City Hall has a large parking lot, and it is relatively vacant even when there are events or when there are many people during consecutive holidays. It takes 10 minutes to walk from Takayama Station and more than 10 minutes to walk to the old town, so we recommend the municipal parking lot in the old town on weekdays. By the way, 9 towns and villages were incorporated in the great merger of Heisei, and the area was the largest in Japan, wider than Osaka Prefecture and Kagawa Prefecture, and it seems that it has almost the same area as Tokyo.
