【景色】遂宁有个观音湖，湖上有座圣莲岛，岛上四级皆景，尤其是7.8月份荷花盛开，世界荷花博览园内来自23个国家和地区，800余种荷花竞相绽放，影影绰绰，亭亭玉立，让游客大饱眼福，不虚此行!

遂宁圣莲岛，是随着遂宁创建全国文明城市中增添的一道亮丽风景。圣莲岛面积约1.47平方公里，以前名为猫儿洲，是一个涪江中心的冲积滩，上面杂草丛生，随着圣莲岛的全面规划、开发，全岛绿地率60%以上，已经成为一座生态岛、文化岛、旅游岛，成为名副其实的遂宁“城市之心”。 当然岛上最值得看的就是世界荷花博览园。圣莲岛世界荷花博览园，悉心培育了近千亩来自全球23个国家和地区800余种荷花，每到荷花盛开时，圣莲岛就成了一副“接天莲叶无穷碧，映日荷花别样红”的壮美画卷。2020年五一期间，更有“圣莲岛荷花节”的举办。现在这里是市民观光休闲的好地方，站在岛上向西望去是老城区，向东则是河东新区。圣莲岛荷花博览园的打造，平添了这座城市的魅力，更让生活在这座城市的人幸福感倍增。 从北至南，由西而东，被荷花环绕的观音湖别具韵味。免费参观，夏季前往最漂亮。

无意中发现了遂宁新开了一家首座万豪酒店，可能是新开的人气不够，价格非常的便宜，周末带到小朋友过来度假，这个圣莲岛荷花博览园就在酒店旁边，由于是冬天，荷花都已经全部凋谢了，但是依然感觉不错，夏天的时候应该非常的美。
