This is the seat of the European Parliament, and according to local laws, there are 12 meetings held there every year. In the past, the European Parliament and the European Commission shared the same conference room. But now, the main building is the Louise Weiss Building, named after former European Parliament member Louise Weiss, which was completed in 1999.
