Wolong Valley

Wolong Valley is located in the hinterland of the 800-li Funiushan Mountain, the scenic resource belt of Funiushan Mountain. It is adjacent to the "paradise on earth" Baiyun Mountain in the west, separated from the "unique beauty of the Central Plains" Muzhaling Mountain in the east, and connected to the Yihe River Rafting, Tianchi Mountain, Luhun Reservoir and other tourist areas in the north by high-level tourist roads. National Highway 311 passes by the Attraction, with a superior location and convenient transportation.

Wolong Valley was named after Emperor Guangwu of the Han Dynasty, Liu Xiu, who spent the night here to review his troops and was supported by the people. It is a deep fault granite landform formed by crustal movement in the late Yanshan period at the end of the Zhongtiao period. The Attraction has an effective viewing area of ​​more than 30 square kilometers and more than 200 scenic spots of various sizes. It is located in the transition zone from the subtropical to the north temperate zone, with a warm, cool and humid climate, abundant rainfall, distinct four seasons, and a forest coverage rate of more than 95%.

The Attraction is lush with forests and grass, with pristine vegetation, more than 1,900 species of plants and more than 200 species of rare birds. In addition, there are gurgling streams, towering mountains, steep cliffs, strange rocks and sea of ​​clouds, waterfalls and secluded pools, as well as the legendary story of Wang Mang chasing Liu Xiu away and the beautiful mythologized legend of the Blue Dragon blessing the people with the moral tone of promoting good and suppressing evil. Together, they constitute a complete landscape system with profound cultural connotations and magical and beautiful scenery, and therefore it is praised as the "Western Henan Landscape Gallery".

Walking into Wolong Valley, you will see different scenery in each season. In spring, the mountains are covered with green, flowers are in full bloom, and azaleas are as red as fire, forming a sea of ​​flowers; in midsummer, waterfalls are high, pools are deep and quiet, and the climate is cool and pleasant; in autumn, the mountains are covered with red, and wild fruits are fragrant and attractive; in midwinter, the mountains are covered with silver, and ice waterfalls, icicles, and snow are like ice sculptures, exquisite and translucent, which is another beautiful scenery.
