De Weerribben-Wieden National Park

Giethoorn is a small village in the Weerribben-Wieden National Park. During the Ice Age, DeWieden was located between two moraine belts, so its terrain was relatively low compared to the surrounding area, resulting in poor soil and peat swamps. Apart from reeds and sedges, there are almost no other plants here. But it is precisely for this reason that the unique landscape of Giethoorn Village is achieved. The entire Weerribben-Wieden National Park was built in 1882, and the park has preserved relatively good vegetation and wildlife. In the small river in the park, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery by boating on the lake, which is very pleasant.
