Peleș Castle

Built in 1873. Also known as Peres Castle, it took ten years to complete. Peres Castle is surrounded by the Carpathian mountains, which are a summer resort and a skier's paradise in winter. Peres Castle has many historical firsts, the first castle with electricity, central air conditioning and elevators, the first castle with skylights to open stargazing, and the small theater inside is where Romania plays its first movie. Perez Castle is situated about 130 kilometers north of Bucharest, the capital of Romania, in a small town called Sinaya. It is the last summer palace built by Romania's last king. The woodcarving inside is impressive.
