China (Shouguang) International Vegetable Technology Expo (hereinafter referred to as Vegetable Expo) is an annual regular meeting jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the People's Government of Shandong Province, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the National Standardization Administration, China Agricultural University, etc. It has been successfully held for 23 consecutive sessions so far, with more than 30 million people from more than 50 countries and regions and 32 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and special administrative regions participating in the exhibition, and a trade volume of more than 200 billion yuan. Over the years, the Vegetable Expo has developed into a national AAAAA-level agricultural exhibition. It is the first unit in China to obtain dual certification of membership and exhibition in the field of vegetable technology exhibitions by the International Exhibition Industry Association (UFI), and it is also one of the eight national exhibitions retained by Shandong Province. During the exhibition, a large number of people, logistics, information, technology and capital flows gathered here, which greatly expanded the development space of vegetables and related industries and had a huge impact on the vegetable industry at home and abroad.

The 24th Vegetable Expo, with the theme of "Green, Technology, Future", will be held at Shouguang Vegetable High-tech Demonstration Park (Shouguang International Convention and Exhibition Center) from April 20 to May 30, 2023. Shouguang Vegetable High-tech Demonstration Park is one of the first national agricultural science and technology parks named by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is a national demonstration base for the introduction of foreign intellectual achievements and a national agricultural tourism demonstration site.

This exhibition is guided by the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, aims to serve the "three rural issues", and promotes the rural revitalization strategy and the transformation of new and old kinetic energy in agriculture. In accordance with the operating ideas of "government sponsorship, market operation, highlighting characteristics, and focusing on effectiveness", relying on the advantages of Shouguang's vegetable industry, it comprehensively collects, displays, exchanges, and promotes new technologies, new varieties, new achievements and new concepts in the domestic and foreign vegetable industries and related fields. The total area of ​​the main exhibition area is 450,000 square meters, of which the indoor exhibition area is 165,000 square meters, including 10 exhibition halls, picking gardens, solar greenhouse high-yield cultivation areas, vegetable museums, leisure farms and outdoor exhibition areas. The main display content is the new scientific and technological achievements of vegetables, seeds and related industries, cutting-edge practical technologies, famous and rare varieties, and vegetable culture. It is planned to display more than 2,000 vegetable varieties, including more than 400 new varieties; more than 80 advanced planting modes; and more than 100 cutting-edge technologies. During the exhibition, high-end conferences and forums such as the "China Food Safety Thousand Miles Tour" launching ceremony and the 2023 China Rural Revitalization Food and Agricultural Products Industry Development Summit Forum will also be held.
