It is a shrine of ichinomiya, Nagato province located in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Together with Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine in Osaka and Sumiyoshi Shrine in Hakata, it is counted as one of the "Three Great Sumiyoshi Shrines in Japan", and the main shrine of the national treasure is lined up with the first to fifth shrines, and the first shrine is Sumiyoshi Sanjin. Emperor Ojin, Takeuchi-Sukune-miko is enshrined in the third hall, Empress Jingu is enshrined in the fourth hall, and Takemi-Nakata is enshrined in the fifth hall.
