Fahua Temple was built in the Northern Song Dynasty in Kaibao for three years (970), flourishing in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The original site is now 525 Fahua Town Road, Changning District. In 1958, the Temple was filled in and built into the current Fahua Town Road, and the original site only left two hundred-year-old ginkgo. In 2021, the relocation of Fahua Temple was rebuilt at No. 1333 Hami Road, Changning District, Shanghai.

Shanghai Fahua Temple is a Buddhist monk-domain in Beixinyu area, covering the first of the temples. The temple buildings make full use of the space height, placing the Buddha Temple on the second floor to make full use of the space.

福缘禅寺始建于清光绪年间(1880年,原名为福缘禅院),原位于上海长宁区镇宁路465弄;2018年5月迁址到长宁区松虹路916号,2021年11月改名为法华禅寺。
