Great Place to Take A Dip
After a long hot day at Dollywood this was the perfect place to stop and have the kids swim for two hours. Beach is a little rocky but not bad - def. do again. Washrooms were clean - folks were nice...
Water levels down but still a must see.Whether boating ...swimming..fishing or just enjoying time around the water then Douglas Lake is a must see if you are going to visit Tennessee...so many things ...
Beach area was well maintained and marked well. Though a little small for a public beach, it had clean restrooms, plenty of parking and a good family atmosphere.
We decided to check out this public swimming "beach" while in the area this summer. We drove over passed Douglas Dam and the Dam Store, turning down Boat Launch Rd in search of this swimming "beach"....

It's a place to swim.
Look they do their best I am sure to keep it nice. However after a lot of people the water gets nasty from the clay mud and can ruin a swimsuit.
Douglas lake even in a drought is beautiful
