We did a day trip via SeaDoo from The Port of Orillia to Port Severn and back. The locks were not overly busy so it made the trip go fairly quick. The staff at Lock 43 was very pleasant and helpful....
The locks are a fun experience. They are educational - engineering - they make you realize how the water system is controlled. The staff are helpful and nice too.
Lock 43 is rather isolated - it is not practical to drive to by road but a great place to access by boat while on the Trent-Severn Waterway. This is the deepest single chambered lock on the Waterway w...

Fun day trip
