Russians call it the Tretyakov Gallery Junior - for a good reason! I went there together with my friends in May, and it was a pre-planned visit. That museum is located in the central part of the cit...
Ryazan's Trtyakovka indeed
Cozy vintage museum. Not a lot of visitors, heplpful assistants in every hall (with good knowledge of stuff (in Russian)). Indeed a fresh inspiration.
Very well worth a visit!
Surprisingly good museum with many famous Russian painters such as Aivazovsky, Ivanov, Nesterov etc. Well laid-out and enough to fill 2 hours or so. Very enjoyable!

My GF and I liked it. The best part was the Aivazovsky room with a huge wall with about 6 of his big pictures and one of them was VERY large. It was great. The rest of the collection is also good none...

Very happy to visit, there is something to look at. Many ancient icons, works of Ivazovsky, Shishkin, Levitan, Serova, Tropinina. Very pleasant staff, can tell a lot of interesting.
