This could be considered a gentle hike. This is my first outdoor activity in Rio. I just love it. Definitely come back next year to do when I come back. I stayed at the Sheraton Hotel in Irmaosdois at the foot of the mountain. It's easy to go down the hill to the hotel itself. If you're from other parts of the city, you have to start at the entrance to the beautiful favela (3-4 a block away is the Sheraton Hotel). You can choose to walk through Vietnam’s largest slums until you take the starting point of this road. It’s about a 40-minute walk through a bad area with lots of curves, small streets, etc. It was safe during the day but I recommend everyone to go to the entrance of a motorcycle slum. They will occupy the beginning of the trail. Don't be afraid of motorcycles, there are a lot of people putting this option, you won't be alone. Very safe! They will give you a helmet but customers are on the driver of the motorcycle and make them hang very nervous quickly because of the sudden turn on the road. If you have a professional camera, it will be a cool movie on your way. Actually there is a good clip showing you go to youtube someone on a motorcycle passing beautifully. TripAdvisor can't boot self-check link, do a quick search and you will find it. There are no fixed prices for motorcycles and of course they will try to make as much money as possible from foreign countries, and every sound is fair to 10/person, which is the equivalent of 2 3USD$ (depending on the exchange rate). I paid R$10/per trip. Motorcycle for 40 minutes but also intended by saving you not just what you don’t know and around isn’t all looking good. It’s best not to bring your wallet or anything else glitz you even safe. Exercise gear, mobile phones and r$40 will only say OK, so you will have enough money for the trip and some coconut water up/down or some other refreshments/down the way. They also sell water and other drinks half way to the mountain. Here is the free entry. Completely free activity. This may take you about 45 minutes to get to the top of the mountain from the beginning of the trail. You will meet many people/down the road. Once you go up, you will love the most beautiful scenery in the surrounding area, such as leblon, ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, Piserabonita and sanconrado Beach Hotel. Have a great hike!

Great place to hike. There are lots of trees and birds. It's invincible to see the entire coastline at the top.
Walking to the top of the slope, you can see the sea and parts of the city, tourists are not very necessary.
A slum that is perfect for walking and cycling, and has excellent quality sandy beaches surrounded by strange-looking mountains and large reservoirs. The beach is long laid out along the coastline, and with a lagoon inside it seems to have the illusion of a jade beach, although a messy building will pull back to reality
I think this is the best view of Rio de Janeiro. I discovered it by recommendations of another traveler and I did not hesitate to visit it. The hotel is a very good hotel, and it is a good hotel. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable.
