I went there for the first time as part of a tour of Japan's Top 100 Castles. There is the Arashiyama Historic Site Museum in the center of the former Sugayakan site, and stamps were also pressed at the reception. I studied by watching the exhibition and the video because it was a big deal. The remains of the pillars were excavated behind the museum.
It is a good idea to go before visiting the site of Sugayakan.

The history of the ruins of the Sugayakan and the explanation of the castle in Hiki-gun are on display, so it is a good idea to go before visiting the ruins of the Sugayakan. You can also get パンフレット for visiting the ruins of the Sugayakan. スタンプ of the 100 famous castles in Japan is also here. JAF members are discounted.

When I walked from the Sugiyama Castle Ruins on the other side of Musashi Arashiyama Station, I arrived at the museum in about 50 minutes ~ 1 hour. At the time of the visit, a special exhibition (Kenshin Koshiyama Uesugi invasion and Kanto Castle) was held, and why the Hojo clan, who was militaryly inferior from this special exhibition, was finally able to advocate the hegemony in the Kanto region (it was completed) It was suggested and interesting, but at the time of the special exhibition, the permanent exhibition was not exhibited, and I was unable to meet the important shigetada. So the good or bad of the permanent exhibition is only a judgment ...
Sugayakan, one of the 100 Continued Japanese Castles in Arashiyama Town. It is a museum built on the site of Sannokaku. Here, not only Sugayakan but also Hikijokan ruins including Sugiyama Castle are exhibited. There is not much exhibition space, but the video is being played so you can understand the castle. It was possible to take pictures in the hall.
I don't think Sugayakan can be understood even if you just take a walk around the remains, so I would like to learn about the history, the Hatakeyama family and their activities here. However, it doesn't make it more enjoyable, but it's better because the view changes rather than looking at the remains. Since the SHOKU JAPAN 100 Castle Stamp is at this reception, will you visit the remains and the set in any case?
