The Equator Monument is located in the Burmese island of Kalimantan, Indonesia, a Southeast Asian city dominated by Chinese people. The Equator Monument is the most famous landscape in the area. It is very meaningful and worth checking in. Local prices are very low, consumption levels are not high, and the living standards of residents are relatively low.
This monument located at latitude of 0 degree means it is located directly under imaginary line of equator. Only few monuments like this around the world.
The Equator Monument was originally built from four ironwood pillars. Ironwood was obtained locally and made to support arrows as an orientation symbol or reference. Twice a year, shadowless sunshine occurs here, when the sun reaches its peak on the Spring Equinox (March 21-23), and the Autumn Equinox (September 21-23).

Twice a year, the shadowless sunlight occurs here, as the sun reaches its zenith on the Vernal Equinox (March 21st-23rd), and the Autumnal Equinox (September 21st-23rd). These bi-annual events are commemorated here as visitors and locals enjoy a five-minute shadowless moment in the best ‘hot spot’ of Borneo.
The parking lot is quite large...but it's still red n rocky ground...the entrance ticket is IDR 3,000 per person... There are also toilets. The yard around the monument is clean ... at the end we can directly see the banks of the Kapuas river ... and seats are provided. Unfortunately for the canteen... it's not fully filled... What is available is the seller of snacks and snacks. Overall suitable for a family refreshing place. hhhhhdrttf
