Patong Temple looks relatively new. Unlike the Buddhist temple we saw in Chiang Mai. But because there are many tourists here. So the number of tourists coming here to visit is also a lot of tour groups.
It was interesting if interested in Phuket culture, we were the only visitors to the temple and a helpful volunteer led us around the temple. He was happy to take pictures for us and open the locked door for us to enter the temple that is not open to the outside world. Be careful with the image and dress appropriately. Be prepared to donate money to the temple and tip our guide, which was unexpected and we spent 100 baht. The church in Europe will also ask for it. This is a bit far from Patong Beach, especially in hot weather. Taxi is 450 baht and the temple is located outside the central area where more than 300 baht is charged. It’s a great place to get to know the country you’re traveling to and experience something different from shops and gourmet shops.
