Pekanbaru Great Mosque

The Great Mosque of An-Nur Riau which we see is so majestic today is not the original building that was built in 1966 and was inaugurated in 1968. But it is the result of a total renovation and rebuilding of the old Great Mosque of An-Nur. At the turn of the millennium in 2000, when Riau was under the leadership of governor Salih Djasit, the old Great Mosque of An-Nur was completely overhauled to its current form.

An-Nur Great Mosque is a mosque located in Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. Construction began in 1963 and was completed in 1968. The mosque can accommodate about 4,500 worshipers. It is one of the largest mosques in Indonesia.
