Worth a stop off
Worth a stop off if you’re on your way or way back to Mount Ruapehu. The falls are only a very short walk off the car park that is on the main road, there are some lovely views from the look out point...

We didn't know this is one of the LOTR site until we came here. The lookout to the waterfall is a short easy walk from the carpark. Breathtaking views all around. Highly recommended.

Disappointing
The view at the lookout is average and in Autumn there is basically no water flowing. Might have to check the falls out in spring melt?
