There was a climbing gate to the mountain from the side of the Yokokurayama Natural Forest Museum, and I went up by car. I was told that the highest place is not clear, but there is a point overlooking the Shimanto River, and it is a pretty spectacular view. Immediately after I started climbing, I felt a little about Emperor Antoku.

I like trekking, nature and history, so it was a wonderful place where everything was satisfactory. It is a legendary and historic mountain where Emperor Antoku moved. You can climb the mountain trails in the dense trees 々 and enjoy it as a little trekking. There is a Natural Forest Museum at the entrance and exit, and the real skull fossils of Triceratops are also exhibited, so not only children but also adults can enjoy it.
From the 3rd parking lot, walk through the virgin forest of red garnet. It is said that this Yokokurayama was the one that the Heike and the young Emperor Antoku, who lost the battle of Genpei, escaped. Emperor Antoku died at the age of 23, and his tomb reference site is located in Mariganaro on Mt. Yokokura. Naro is a flat terrain, and it is said that he made a kick in the gentle Mariganaro near the top of the mountain. Also, there are many rare plants discovered by botanist Dr. Tomitaro Makino on Mt. Yokokura.
