Qinling, divided into the narrow Qinling and the broad Qinling. The narrow Qinling is limited to the southern Shaanxi Province, the mountain between the Lihe and the Han River, the east is bounded by the Lihe and Danjiang Valley, and the west is the Jialing River. The broad Qinling Mountains, from Kunlun to the west, from southern Anhui to the middle and southern Shaanxi, to the east to the Yuyu-Dabie Mountain and Zhangbaling near Anhui, are the watersheds of the Yangtze River and Yellow River basins. Due to the different temperature, climate and terrain of the Qinling Mountains, the Qinling-Huaihe River line has become the most important north-south dividing line in China's geography. In winter, the Qinling Mountains block the cold tide to the south into the southern region; in summer, block the wet sea breeze to the northern region. Qinling and Huaihe River basins are the transition areas between rainy southern and dry northern regions. From the Qinling and Huaihe River to the north, rainfall has decreased sharply. Qinling is regarded as the dragon vein of Chinese civilization. The main peak, Taibai Mountain, is located in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. Qinling is the boundary mountain between Guanzhong Plain and southern Shaanxi Province.
