Ningbo Jiaoqu Yaohang Street Catholic Church

Yaoxing Street Catholic Church is located in Yaoxing Street, Ningbo City. It is a tall building in ancient Roman style. The whole body is iron red with white lines. The church was built in the ninth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1870), destroyed in the year of Gengzi (1900), and rebuilt in the thirty-first year of Guangxu (1905). There are two western-style spire clock towers. The Catholic Church is the largest Catholic activity venue in Ningbo. The church is 51 meters long from north to south, 22 meters wide from east to west, 31 meters high for the lobby ridge, 66 meters high for the bell tower, crowned with a stainless steel cross 6 meters high and 4 meters wide on the top. Combined, the church can actually accommodate two thousand people (one thousand seats). The front door of the church is made of granite, the floor of the church hall is decorated with granite, the doors and windows of the whole church are made of stained glass, the round windows at the top of the hall are made of various Eucharistic patterns, and the doors and windows of the church are patterned with Bible stories. The 80-square-meter semi-circular vault at the top of the altar is painted with an icon of the Holy Trinity crowning the Virgin and supported by five small semi-circular vaults, symbolizing the unity and unity of the church.
