It's a surprise. Such a spectacular museum is the famous private collection of J. P. Morgan, and there are many of his donations in the Metropolitan Museum. Seeing the library of books on a grand scale, I instantly realized the true meaning of the old saying that the book has its own golden house. New York's favorite niche museum series, this Morgan Library and Museum built in 1906, originally a private library, opened to the public in 1924. It is hard to believe that the private library that was such a huge library before was the financier J P Morgan who famously founded JPMorgan Chase Bank.
