    A small gassho-zukuri house

    Original Text

    It is a gassho-zukuri house with a roof built in the late Edo period, which is said to be the prototype of gassho-zukuri houses, and has a floor. It seems that it was located in various places as a farmhouse in Gokayama during the Edo period, but it is the only existing one. It is owned by the neighboring private house "Mikiro" and is used as a storage, so you cannot see the inside.

    Vertical hole-style living の Evolutionary form?

    Original Text

    It is made like the roof of the gassho-style building is removed and placed on the ground. If you combine pillars on the ground and cover it with thatched, it seems that you can make it immediately. Did it evolve from here to gassho-zukuri? It was also in a private house in Shirakawa-go, but when it was burned out by fire, it was explained that this primitive hut was built as a victim's house.

    Last time I didn't care & apos;

    Original Text

    It is a building that is clearly different in the village. It might be easy to overlook from a wide street, but I didn't notice it last time. It looks like a pit-shaped residence and has a thatched roof ridged on the ground. Unfortunately, I can't see the inside.
