Lake Mead

Lake Mead is a huge freshwater lake in the middle of the desert. Climate change and persistent drought have made the Colorado River increasingly dry and at risk of desertification due to the rising water demand of the Colorado River. The largest length of Lake Meade is about 193 kilometers, covering an area of about 640 square kilometers, and is the largest man-made lake and reservoir in the United States. Lake Mead supplies water to parts of Arizona, Nevada, California and Mexico, benefiting about 25 million people.

It belongs to the National Entertainment Zone. The tickets for the National Park are available. It is very close to the Hoover Dam. Seeing a lake below the dam, I decided to go there. Many people go there by boat to play in the lake. The water is clear, the fish is very big and there is a small restaurant, but there is no roast fish, salmon. The stay time was not long for a scenic spot passing by the Hoover Dam, but the beauty of Lake Meade still left us a deep impression. The lake was particularly clear and the scenery under the blue sky and white clouds was great.
