I have seen the history museum because it is the ruins of Toyohisa Shimazu, the main character of the manga and anime drifters. The guide and explanations were easy to read, and I was able to remember the past. Iehisa and Toyohisa's graves are also nearby. I am expecting a warrior procession to remember Toyohisa Shimazu on November 22, 2020.

Admission is free. Volunteers will politely tell you about the history of Shimazu daimyo. There aren't many exhibits inside, but it's a restored building, such as a hall, so you can take pictures only in the floor where the lord was sitting. Stamps can be obtained at the entrance.

I went there for the first time as part of the tour of the 100 famous castles in Japan. It was just a short walk from Miyazaki Airport by rental car at West �. I can't take a walk at the castle ruins now, but I stopped by the historical museum that reproduces the palace. I was able to learn models and excavated items for free.

土日祝しか開館していません

鶴松館は佐土原城二の丸跡に復元された広間・書院・数寄屋で、佐土原城跡歴史資料館になっています。入館料は無料です。ただし、土日祝しか開館していません。有料にしてでも、平日開館をしてもらいたいものです。佐土原城も登城できない状況が続いており、こちらも何とかしてもらいたいものです。

佐土原城二ノ丸御殿が復元されています

続日本100名に選定された、佐土原城。山上に城跡が残っていますが、麓の二ノ丸跡に御殿が復元されています。江戸時代佐土原島津家の居城らしく、立派な門と書院、大広間です。土日祝日のみの開館で、続日本100名城のスタンプもこちらに設置されています。
