It is very beautiful to see the rice terraces continuing toward the Ariake Sea from a moderate hill on the south side of the Shimabara Peninsula. I think the view from here on a clear blue sky is the best spot along the Ariake Sea where you can feel the beauty of the sea in conjunction with Amakusa's Shimanami.
