Cliff village

The poorest village in Daliang Mountain - the cliff village on the top of the mountain is rare ​ There are dozens of families living in the mountains, most of them have been moved to the mountains before fleeing war and have been living a life of escape from the world. They have not experienced feudal society, and they have directly transitioned from slave society to modern society. The last place in China to abolish slavery.

Cliff Village is located on the edge of the S307 Provincial Road from Zhaojue County to Leibo County, 63 kilometers away from Zhaojue County. There are three groups in the entire cliff village, one group is under the mountain, the second group is more than 1400 meters above sea level, and the third group is more than 1600 meters above sea level. The steep roads of the 2～ 3 groups are erected with steel pipe steps, and the slightly flat place is the dirt road. Although the road up is difficult, the scenery is beautiful. Unfortunately, many water bottles are thrown at will when there are many trash cans next to the steps, and no one cleans them. There are more than 20 villagers living on the cliff, with canteens, snack bars, and accommodation, but the accommodation conditions are not very good.

Do you know the cliff village of Liangshan, Sichuan, on the cliff of Atuleer Village in Zhaojue County, the vine ladder perpendicular to the cliff was the only passage for villagers to connect with the outside world. This village is therefore named "Cliff Village". In 2016, the Cliff Village began to build 2556 steel ladders, replacing the old vine ladders. Now 84 poor households have all moved out of the cliff village into history, the cliff village has changed dramatically, which makes us cherish the happy life in front of us more.
