Qixian Cave

Qixian Cave is located in a secluded valley at the foot of Mount Santai behind Luxi Old Town. The mountains here are steeper on both sides, the valley in the middle is narrow, and there is a small stream at the bottom of the valley. In the county town of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, there was a woman surnamed Li who saw through the red dust, and the young monk wanted to find a quiet place to practice. Her family was a wealthy and wealthy family, so she invested in the construction of "Qixian Cave" in a place where two sides of the valley were surrounded by large rocks. Two sides here are authigenic rocks, and the other two sides are masonry. After entering the door, there is a statue of Guanyin in the hall, filled with cigarettes. From the side door you can climb up the roof along the rock. The environment here is quiet and the landscape is beautiful. Although it is not a cave, it feels like being in a real cave. In the early 1950s, the original cave was demolished, and in the 1980s, people built temples next to the original site. Outside the temple gate, there are the Earth Hall and the Ling Palace. After entering the gate, there are the Daxiong Hall, the Guanyin Hall and the monks' dormitory. In addition, a mountain pond built in the 1960s adds to the scenery of Qixian Cave. Because it is close to Wuxi Town and the roads are spacious and flat, the incense is strong and tourists are like weaving. Especially during the several Buddhist events every year, hundreds or even thousands of people come to burn incense and worship Buddha every day, and it is very lively.
