The paintings behind and surrounding the alter area were spectacular, as were the other furnishings, sculptures, etc. A must stop on a visit to Wittenberg.

During a tour of Wittenberg, my husband and I had an opportunity to see the beautiful Church of St. Mary. Although it was closed on this occasion, our local tour guide provided us with its history. ...
