Really cool to follow Roman road

We stumbled upon this and the Roman road during a drive along the Moselle. Would have loved to do the entire trip but we found it too late in our stay.

This was a nice surprise on our way from Trier to Cochem

We took a short detour while biking along the Mosel and passed the remains of a Roman villa. Entrance is free.

Restored Roman villa among the fields

Roman ruins

This small Roman ruin is a quick visit in the area of Trier. There is a short walking path to tour the area, and the ruins are in good shape. There are many good hiking trails in the area, also.

Heavily restored villa among vineyards

Gives you a feeling of the life of landed gentry in Roman times. Beautiful area and stroll among the vines.
