Gaojiaya Buildings

Gaojiaya was built by Wang's two brothers Wang Yucong and Wang Yucheng during the heyday of Wang's family. The courtyard wall was tall and thick, and the courtyard door was not wide. The main building of Gaojiaya consists of two three-inch courtyard houses, which are the residences of the two brothers of Wang's 17th Sun Wang's family.

Lingshi Gaojiaya (Wangjia Courtyard East Courtyard): Located in Jingsheng Town, Lingshi County, Shanxi Province. Wangjia Courtyard includes East Courtyard, West Courtyard and Xiaoyixuan. The East Courtyard is commonly known as Gaojiaya, and the scenic spot is also called Shilubao. Gaojiaya was built by Jingsheng Wang's 17th Sun Wang Xucong and Wang Xucheng brothers from Qing Jiaqing first year (1796) to 16 years (1811) as a castle-style series courtyard, composed of three different sizes of rectangular courtyards, the building scale is large, the structure is rigorous, has a high ornamental value.

The location chosen by the Wang Family Courtyard is good, built on the mountain. Preventing rushing to at least dense layout, the layout is very reasonable. The view from the outside wall is also very wide, which is conducive to defense.

It was built in the Qingjiaqing year and covers an area of nearly 20,000 square meters, with 35 large and small courtyards and 342 houses. There is a horse road in the east-west direction of the castle, there are several thick shadow walls on the south side of the horse road, and there are six courtyards on the north side.
