Xianfo Temple Cliff Carvings, a national AAAA-level Attraction and the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units, is located in Xianfo Village, Xiangfeng Town, Laifeng County, 4.5 kilometers away from the county seat, at the starting point of Enlai Expressway. The Attraction is located on the bank of Youshui River, adjacent to Xuanen in the east and across the river from Longshan County, Hunan in the south. In 1956, the Hubei Provincial Government announced Xianfo Temple as the first batch of provincial key cultural relics protection units in the province, on par with Wudang Mountain and Yuquan Temple. In June 2006, the Xianfo Temple Cliff Carvings were announced as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
