Fashionable hall
Original Text
It is a stylish building with both interior and exterior along the old National Highway No. 3 in Kawajiri Town. Including the famous knives in Kawajiri, Higo elephant cancer, pottery, etc. are exhibited and sold, and although the space is not large, I felt that it was devised for easy-to-see purposes. You can also see the work scene such as Higo inlaids and knife in the hall, which is recommended for families. There is also a rest space in the back, which is also connected to Higashihi Taishozo.
Kawajiri's "Kumamoto Craft Museum"! The experience menu is substantial! Every day, seven treasures, stained glass, weaving, Higo statue cancer, Higo Mari etc. You won't get tired of going every day! The event in the special exhibition room is also interesting! Persian carpet & Kirim, Higo woodwork, old cloth etc. I was surprised at the events that change almost every week in a wide range of fields!
If you are a train, Kawajiri Station, which is JR from Kumamoto Station and 2 Station, is the nearest station. The parking lot is large, so the car is convenient. You can buy the crafts exhibited. The experience corner was substantial.
Rather than a tour, I had the impression that the experience corner was substantial. You can freely tour the hall, and various crafts such as pottery and wind chimes in Kumamoto Prefecture are on display. I think it's a good idea to visit with Higashihi Taishozo as a set.
I visited while walking around Kawajiri, a historic city in Kumamoto City. The history and manufacturing process of Kumamoto Kawajiri's knife are interesting, and now I love the kitchen knife made by Kawajiri's knife master. The highlight is Higashihi Taishozo, where you can learn about Kumamoto's famous sake, which is connected to the craft hall inside.
