A temple of hydrangea and cherry blossoms
Original Text
It is an unmanned temple managed by the chief priest of Seisonji Temple, but it is an old temple with a long history surrounded by weeping cherry blossom trees and hydrangeas. The Niomon is covered with straw shoes. The stone steps become a fairly steep slope.
It is on the way back from Jisonin to town. There were many straw shoes and boxing gloves on the Niomon Gate. Is straw shoes a wish that your legs and waist can move forever? The stairs to climb from the front were steep, so I climbed from the loose stairs on the side.
Located in the back of Jisonin, it is a temple built by Kobo Daishi in 815, and is known for the fact that Daishi dedicated "Eleven-faced Kannon" in the year of 42 years old. The stone steps leading from the parking lot became steep as I climbed, so I went up with care, but there is a detour on the left side, so I think it is better to use this on rainy days. There is a magnificent vermilion Niomon gate up the stone steps, but Dou, such as the main hall and Daishido, was painted vermilion like a shrine. Honzon ...
"Shokoji" where straw shoes are dedicated to Niomon
Original Text
Near Jisonin, I was a little worried about how far I would go on a narrow climbing road, but there is a parking lot. When you climb the steep stone steps, you will find a magnificent Niomon gate, and many straw shoes were dedicated like the entrance to Mt. Koya Omotesando. When Kobo Daishi was 42 years old, the principal image is "Eleven-faced Kannon", which is said to have been enshrined to ward off evil.
There is a magnificent Niomon gate. It is designated as a cultural property of Kudoyama Town. For some reason, many walladdies are attached to the gate, but there seems to be no walladdies selling in the precincts, so I wondered why it was walladdies in the Niomon Gate.
