NOT easy to get to, but worth the trip
Fukuo Shrine is a shinto shrine in Komono, almost on the border with Inabe City. It is a mountain shrine, so you'll have to drive (or walk!) about 1-2 kilometers up a mountain. That's just to get to t...
I worshiped because it seems that there is a benefit of rising work luck. We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes as you have to climb quite a few stone steps to get to the top. Bishamonten was enshrined at the end of the climb, and the atmosphere was good. There is also a free parking lot, and the scenery is very beautiful if the weather is nice.
Mt. Fukuo is a small mountain that can be said to be an avant-garde mountain in the Suzuka Mountains, but it is a mountain with thick cedar trees. There was only a shrine with a history of 1200 years dedicated by Prince Shotoku, and it had a majestic atmosphere. It is difficult to climb the long stone steps, but if you have the spare power, please try climbing the mountain trail behind the shrine. Along the road, the road scattered with the Seven Lucky Gods continues to the top, and you can enjoy forest bathing.
It is a shrine on the hillside of Mt. Fukuo, where the legend of Tengu is located. I had to climb quite a few stone steps from the parking lot above to the shrine, which exhausted my physical strength. The atmosphere was good and the view was good in the shrine with a huge tree that Tengu seems to live in. For the first time in my life, I was able to see the woodpeckers pecking trees live.
There was a large parking lot where the shop of Fukuo Shrine was located, and I parked my car there. From there, I had to climb a steep slope about 400 meters to the shrine, and I was breathless by the time I arrived at the torii gate ... Then there was a parking lot at the end of the slope. If you are not physically fit, I recommend this parking lot! !! I will climb a lot of slopes and stairs to the main hall again, but it is surrounded by large cedar trees and has a very atmosphere. Hidden Powers ...
