Shoushan, also known as Chai Mountain, also known as Dagou Mountain or Dagu Mountain in ancient times, is located on the west coast of Kaohsiung. It stretches for 5 kilometers from north to south, and is about 2.5 kilometers wide from east to west. The total area is about 1,200 hectares. Coral reef forest ecology and special limestone terrain landscape, although the high altitude is only 356 meters, it is a natural barrier in Kaohsiung. Shoushan originally belonged to a military reserve and was under the control of the military for a long time. Therefore, it unexpectedly provided a good place for Taiwanese monkeys to inhabit, avoid enemies and breed, making the monkeys in Shoushan a characteristic indicator of Kaohsiung City. The forests on Shoushan Mountain are prosperous, and there are sightseeing spots such as Wanshou Mountain Park, Martyrs' Shrine, Zoo, Qianguang Temple, Faxing Temple, Yuanheng Temple, etc. Follow the path next to Shoushan Zoo to the limestone cave area of Shoushan Scenic Area, follow the twists and turns Going forward in the narrow limestone cave, you can see stalactite crystals such as stalagmites and stone pillars, witnessing the magic and mystery of nature's creation. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook Kaohsiung Port, enjoy the sunset over Sizihwan and the night view of Kaohsiung City. There is also the "Taiwan Macaque Natural Ecological Reserve", where groups of macaques play in the trees, and if you are lucky, you can also enjoy the agility and heroism of the monkeys' jumping. In addition to the lovely macaques, the Wanshoushan Zoo also has large mammals, reptiles, birds and other rare birds and beasts, and there is a huge mosaic mural in the Shoushan Zoo. The Martyrs' Shrine next to Shoushan Park is a Chinese palace-style building dedicated to the martyrs of the National Revolution. It is surrounded by lush green trees. There are ancient pine trees in front of the shrine, and there are two Qing Dynasty cannons for people to pay tribute to. One of the best places to overlook Kaohsiung Port and the city.

A Chang took me to climb Shoushan Mountain. There were many monkeys and no fear of people. Volunteers carried water to the mountain to drink for tourists. They tried various kinds of tea, such as green grass tea, ginger mother tea, Luoshen flower tea, wheat tea. They liked wheat tea best. Starting at 6 a.m., climbing to about 12 a.m. before going downhill, looking at the sea and the city of Kaohsiung. Ah Chang took us to the Thai Valley, which is a secret place known to the local people. It's a magnificent and interesting place. It seems that we have come to Angkor Wat. There are many ancient banyan trees in the past thousand years. There are not many visitors. No tickets are required. Pedestrians are friendly on the road. They say hello to each other. There are many small animals and plants. Students who like to climb the natural scenery can punch in and go downhill to Xiziwan. Kaohsiung is really a good place. I like it very much.
