Kaohsiung Municipal History Museum - short for Gaobo Hall, formerly Kaohsiung City Service Office and Kaohsiung City Government site, it is positioned as Kaohsiung City History Museum, and the current hall has been designated as Kaohsiung City Municipal Historical Monument. The main building is designed in Japanese and Western eclectic style, with the main tower and the top of the two sides of the tower plus the four corners of traditional Japanese architecture and the large glazed roof, decorated with a treasure-bottle spire, plum pattern dripping water and the Japanese chrysanthemum totem. The first floor has a porch with an outdoor platform on the top, which has the functions of reading and ceremonial commanding station, giving a glimpse of the architectural style of the peak of Japanese imperialism.
