始建于清朝咸丰年间，延续山子瑶先辈选址的理念，选择高地开阳处建寨，村寨零散不齐，该村共40户，210人，民居顺应山势，呈环绕梯形布局，人行轴线和带状空间明显，形成点、线、面的自成体系空间格局。巷道为一米宽的石阶步道，整洁卫生，房屋多为夯土瓦房，古色古韵。村周围群山拥翠，郁郁葱葱，空气清新，环境幽雅怡人，村内桃红李白，蕉绿竹翠，八角飘香，是典型的生态旅游村庄。在这里可欣赏到原汁原味的双刀舞、钓鱼舞等原生态舞蹈；观看到上刀山、下火海、吞筷条、踩犁头、踏竹筒火、咬碗、洗火浴和翻云台等令人叹为观止的瑶族绝技；领略到抬新娘、抢新娘、跳竹竿舞和集体舞等趣味横生的瑶族风情。
