Jinxiang County Museum is located in Yangshan Attraction. It was built in 2009 with a total construction area of 4,500 square meters and an exhibition area of 3,600 square meters. It is a comprehensive, multifunctional, modern comprehensive museum integrating history, art and humanities. It has been open to the Residents Complimentary since November 30, 2013. In December 2020, it was rated as a national third-level museum. Jinxiang County Museum vividly displays the history and culture of Jinxiang with exquisite exhibits, unique design and rich connotations. At present, the museum has a collection of 5,200 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, including bronzes, pottery, porcelain, jade, calligraphy and painting, including 25 pieces (sets) of national first-level cultural relics, 6 pieces (sets) of second-level cultural relics, and 214 pieces (sets) of third-level cultural relics. The Han Dynasty stone carvings of exorcising robbers are the most numerous among the Western Han Dynasty stone carvings that have survived to date, and have been designated as a national first-class cultural relic; the number of Han Dynasty pottery figurines in Jinxiang Museum is large and of good quality, providing rich physical evidence for the study of Han Dynasty history and culture; among them, the 22 pieces (sets) of gold and silver wares unearthed from the Guangshan Temple Pagoda are large in number, with unique and exquisite shapes, superb craftsmanship, and high combination, which fully reflect the development of gold and silver wares in the Tang Dynasty and the development of Buddhist art. Experts have identified them as national first-class cultural relics and they are very precious. Jinxiang County Museum adheres to the concept of "people-oriented and scientific development", takes "close to reality, close to life, and close to the masses" as its development purpose; takes protecting, inheriting, and displaying Jinxiang's excellent historical and cultural heritage as its mission; scientific planning and comprehensive development allow the museum to better record history, inherit civilization, and promote culture.
