Daqian Paper Workshop (Shiziqing Paper Workshop, Ma Village, Jiajiang County)

Daqian Paper Mill is located in Shiqi Village, Macun Township, Jiajiang County, Leshan City, Sichuan Province. It was built in 1922 and has a courtyard layout with five seven-pillar rooms. In 1939, Mr. Zhang Daqian, the master of painting, went to Macun twice and carefully produced several high-level calligraphy and painting papers such as "Dafengtang" and "Yuan" with the son of the paper maker Shiziqing. Shiziqing Paper Mill was named Daqian Paper Mill after it.

Zhang Daqian is an influential cultural celebrity, so this place is famous for the big thousand paper, enriching the land production of the four treasures of the study, with a good heritage, many people with a little cultural atmosphere like the scenery here.

The scenery is beautiful and the environment is very good. The villages in the middle of the mountain here are all Sichuan characteristic house architectural styles. You can also visit and experience one of the four major inventions in China - papermaking, which is a place to play with scenery and intangibles.
