Bahrenberg is a remarkable open-air museum where various buildings from all over Switzerland have been removed and rebuilt. Through the museum you can walk through Switzerland. In many “settlements,” there are active craftsmen displaying traditional crafts including weaving, text carving, blacksmiths, coffee roasting and even a working waterwheel sawmill. Many of us spent about five hours walking through the museum, barely half visible. If you want to see everything, plan a day or two. We are really happy we went!
