Yiyuan is the private garden of Pang Yuanji, a famous modern calligraphy and painting appraiser and collector. It is located on the site of the former Lumen Villa in Dongzha, Nanxun Town. It was built in 1918 and covers an area of ​​more than 20 acres. It faces south and is adjacent to Zhang Songxian's East Garden.

Yi Garden is a unique private garden among the gardens of several generations in Nanxun. The Ci poetry master Zhu Zumou described the garden as follows: "Spring is suitable for flowers, autumn is suitable for the moon, summer is suitable for cool breezes, and winter is suitable for clear snow. The scenery meets the interest, the emotion meets the time, everything is suitable, so it is named 'Yi Garden'."

Yi Garden consists of the outer garden and the inner garden. The outer garden is slightly smaller due to the surrounding architectural environment, while the inner garden is located in the field and is very wide. The inner and outer gardens are designed and handled in two different ways according to local conditions: the outer garden is compact and tortuous, and is divided into several courtyards with different moods by corridors, rockery, and cloud walls. The pavilions, pavilions, halls, and rooms are all connected by curved corridors, with winding paths leading to secluded places and winding paths, which is the essence of the Jiangnan garden scenery; the inner garden borrows natural scenery to get the pastoral interest, draws springs into the pool, sets up islands in the pool, and sets up curved bridges lying on the waves. Buildings and boats accompany the pool, stones are built along the pool, and mountains are piled up as screens. Buildings, terraces, pavilions, and pavilions are arranged around the pool, and the corridors are well-organized. The scene blends well, and it has the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.
