Tuancheng is a shantytown in the old city of Hotan City. The house is a traditional Uighur architectural style, but the quality is not high, low and dilapidated. Because the alleys of the block are ring-shaped, it is called "Tuancheng". It is also known as the pigeon alley for trading pigeons and flowers and birds and insect fish in the alley of the block. Since 2016, the Hotan Municipal Government has launched the renovation project of the old city. According to the concept of "one street, one plan, one household and one design", the building of each alley and each household cannot be similar under the premise of maintaining Uighur style. The basic function of living is to form a shop. Handicraft products, traditional buildings, sightseeing and leisure as a characteristic of the commercial and residential tourist area.
From Kashgar to Hotan, the first stop to travel to the Tuancheng, I have been to the ancient city of Kashgar, so after arriving in Hotan Tuancheng, I feel very different. The first place to visit is very small. It takes half an hour to walk. It is all newly built houses. The street is decorated in accordance with the local ethnic style. Seeing a baked bun business is good, I went to consult the price twice, and the Uighur master of baked buns ignored it. Maybe there are not many tourists and there is no sense of business. After half an hour of taking pictures, I went to the Hotan Museum.
