Exploring SOW (Sheung Wan) in Hong Kong
SOW is located on Hollywood Road in Sheung Wan, the first street to be completed in Hong Kong, exuding a strong sense of historical depth. Although the streets are not crowded at night, the restaurant still has many diners, some drinking at the bar, others enjoying meals with close friends. The European and American industrial-style decor creates an atmosphere that makes us feel as if we are traveling in Europe.
Tonight, the two of us ordered a set dinner and an additional pasta to savor slowly.
STARTER
[Yuzu Lemon Honey Oil Capelin Tart] The capelin sashimi is diced, with a tender, smooth, and sweet taste, and the yuzu honey is sour and sweet, very appetizing.
APPETIZER
We chose two with a Chinese flair. [SOW's Imitation Crab with Zhenjiang Vinegar] is different from what you find elsewhere, with a texture like soufflé, very distinctive. [Soy Sauce Bonito Soup with Fish Maw] is full of savory flavor, and the radish absorbs the soup well.
SOUP Chef's Choice Soup
Today's soup is [Borscht], sour yet sweet, fragrant, and filled with vegetables like carrots, offering rich nutrition.
MAIN
[Low-Temperature Slow-Cooked Australian Full Blood Wagyu Char Siu (+$88)] The meat is tender and pink, with a rich beef flavor. Dipped in char siu sauce, it actually tastes a bit like the usual char siu, quite special. The side dishes include smooth black truffle mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, and more, very rich.
PASTA
[Pacific Red Prawn with Seafood Sauce and Garlic Chili Linguine] Three large red prawns, which are among the most flavorful in the shrimp family, with rich shrimp paste in the head. The linguine is chewy and flavored with garlic and chili, very appetizing.
For dessert, we paid extra for [Flaming Snow Mountain], where the staff poured flaming rum over the snow mountain. The light meringue hides marshmallows. Inside there are fresh fruits, cake, and ice cream, delicious and atmospheric.

时别5年,在此来到香港旅游,结果遇上了百年不遇的黑雨,香港多区都水灾。今次住在上环,庆幸自己没有太受到水灾影响,上环都中环的交通都很方便,最爱搭叮叮车。
I’ve been to HK before but this side of HK I had never seen. A maze of narrow steep lanes full of life, people moving, sitting, eating. A myriad of smells coming from the eateries that are all decorated uniquely like an eccentric individual that makes you stand and stare at their confidence. Previously I would just visit the tourist destinations for a quick shopping trip and I am pretty sure many from the mainland do the same unbeknown to them that this beauty away from air conditioned malls and the usual sights is hidden in plain sight behind the large skyscrapers slightly West of Central Station.
the dim sum(蓮香) at Sheung Wan HK, a must-visit Chinese traditional cafe, loved it!😋👍🏻✨
Sheung Wan ferry terminal to catch the ferry to Macao. Went for a walk around the bay to catch the nice view.
上環充滿特色香港味道,有糧油雜貨香料店,好味茶餐廳,廟宇,海味店,不斷沿樓梯向上行又有好多新店cafe,值得一去!
