Lvhui Xueyuan is a former Tai Po Police Station. It is now managed by Kadoorie Farm and encourages pollution-free planting and provides some farmland for the public to experience planting. The whole building is still preserved, and the layout and decoration inside have remained largely unchanged. In addition to the pastoral atmosphere, you can feel the taste of history when you stroll around.
The formerly known as the Tai Po Police Station, built in 1899, is the first police station and the headquarters of the Police in the New Territories. It is also the oldest existing police station in the New Territories. It consists of the main building, staff quarters and dining hall buildings, and is connected by a lawn. It is a statutory monument in Hong Kong. Under the Revitalization of Historical Building Partners Program, it was revitalized to Greenway School in 2015. Visitors can enjoy vegetarian food cooked from local ingredients, participate in nature workshops and learn about the history of the site through exhibitions and guided tours. The original detention rooms, firearms rooms, lodging rooms and queues and playgrounds in the Police Station are all well preserved.
