After strolling around Hirosaki Park, we went outside the castle from the Higashiuchi Gate. The Hirosaki Cultural Center was just across the bridge over the moat. It is a building with impressive round windows seen above a square building. There were conference rooms, halls, planetariums, etc. In front of the entrance, a statue of Tamenobu Tsugaru stood. The statue of Tamenobu Tsugaru, a warlord of the Sengoku period and the first feudal lord of the Hirosaki domain, stood in a brave figure in armor helmet.
