Temppeliaukio Church

This is because the church was built in a huge rock, the rock was dug up and a glass roof was built above it to achieve natural lighting, and the outer wall of the church is the rock itself. The entrance of the church is designed as a tunnel, and the inner wall is still the original rock. The whole church is like a landing flying saucer, which is very peculiar. The roof adopts a dome design, supported by a hundred radial beams and columns, and is inlaid with transparent glass. With natural lighting, you will not feel like you are inside the rock at all. With a capacity of 940 people, the Rock Chapel holds services on Sunday mornings and is also an ideal venue for weddings.
